The Hermantown 7th and 8th grade Junior High Math Team placed first at its recent regional competition. The team competed in and placed first in five separate meets to earn first-place honors in the league. Individually, Madison White earned top honors in the league, while Grady Masterman (3rd), Benji Rose (7th), Eva Elnes (8th) and Max Christy (9th) each placed in the top-10 in league standings.
The junior high math team is coached by Rebecca Schmidt. Team members include: White, Masterman, Rose, Elnes, Christy, Hunter Hodge, Gibson McDonald, Joseph Bullyan, Eze Enemuoh, Calista Rother, Max Lederer, Gideon Lindsey, Oliver Hansen, Sydnee Benner, Amara Kerfeld, Annie Sapp, Bella Lindberg, Paxton Schall, Emmett Johnson, and Norah Beyer
