Hermantown’s varsity teams hit a full spring stride this week, with conference golf tournaments, section track meets, and a heavy slate of baseball, softball and lacrosse highlighting a packed schedule across the Northland.

Monday

A busy day begins on the links as both the boys and girls golf teams compete in conference tournaments at 9 a.m. at Ridgeview Country Club. The girls also face Cloquet in a conference meet at the same time and location.

On the courts, boys tennis hosts Duluth Denfeld at 4:15 p.m. at Hermantown High/Middle School in a rescheduled match.

In lacrosse, the Proctor/Hermantown boys team faces Superior at 4 p.m. at NBC Spartan Sports Complex in a makeup game. The girls varsity team hosts New Prague at 6 p.m. at Centricity Stadium.

Tuesday

Postseason stakes arrive early as the boys and girls track and field teams compete in the True Team Section meet at 1 p.m. at Chisago Lakes High School.

On the diamond, Hermantown baseball hosts Esko at 4:30 p.m. at Fichtner Field, while the softball team travels to Rock Ridge for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.

In lacrosse, the girls varsity team travels to Becker for a 5:30 p.m. game, while the boys varsity team faces Cloquet at 7 p.m. on the road.

Wednesday

The girls golf team travels north for an invitational at 11:30 a.m. at Wilderness Golf Course at Fortune Bay in Tower.

Boys tennis meets Duluth Denfeld at 3 p.m. at Laura MacArthur Elementary in a rescheduled dual.

Thursday

The boys golf team returns to action at 11:30 a.m. in a multi-team meet at The Wilderness Golf Course.

Boys tennis hosts Duluth Marshall at 4:15 p.m. at Hermantown High/Middle School.

Hermantown baseball hosts South Ridge at 4:30 p.m. at Fichtner Field, while softball welcomes Princeton to Rose Road Field for a 4:30 p.m. game.

In lacrosse, the Proctor/Hermantown girls team faces Superior at 6:30 p.m. at NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Friday

A loaded slate begins with girls golf at 10 a.m. in an invitational at Virginia Golf Course, followed by boys golf at 11 a.m. at The Quarry at Giants Ridge.

Track and field teams compete at Duluth Denfeld beginning at 3 p.m..

Baseball travels to Hibbing for a 4:30 p.m. game, while softball hosts Duluth Marshall at 4:30 p.m. at Rose Road Field.

In lacrosse, the girls varsity team faces Duluth Wolfpack at 6:30 p.m. in Cloquet. The boys varsity team hosts Duluth East at 7 p.m. at Centricity Stadium.

Saturday

The week wraps with the boys golf team competing in an invitational at 10 a.m. at The Quarry at Giants Ridge.
