Hermantown's Martin Sleen had an impressive showing at his first Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Track & Field Championships, as the sophomore speedster took home silver in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 21.83 and bronze in the 100-meter dash in 10.89 Thursday at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
Sleen also anchored the 4x100-meter relay team with Tanner Homstad, Corban Peterson and Grant Johnson that placed ninth with a time of 43.75.
Aidan Adamski set a new PR on his way to an eighth-place finish in discus with a throw of 154 feet, 10 inches.
Homstad had a jump of 20 feet, 1 1/2 inches to place 21st overall in long jump to round out the final day of competition for the Hawks.
