The Hermantown Track & Field Team had seven athletes advance to the 2025 Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class AA Boys and Girls Track & Field Tournaments with their performances at the Section 7AA Tournament Saturday at North Branch High School.
Martin Sleen broke section records in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash and as a member of the 4x100 meter relay to place first in three events. He was joined on the record-breaking relay by Tanner Homstad, Grant Johnson and Corban Peterson.
Homstad also placed second in the long jump, while Evan Senst placed first in shot put and Aidan Adamski placed first in discus to advance to the state tournament.
On the girls side, Adaeze Enemuoh won the 100 meter dash and placed second in the 400 meter dash to earn her spot at the state tournament, which takes place June 10-12 at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
