River Freeman, Cam Lukovsky, Ethan McCubbing and Jimmy Bartsch all collected two hits as Hermantown clipped Cloquet 10-7 in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game Thursday afternoon at Ed Mettner Field in the Wood City.
The Hawks (2-2) host Rock Ridge (4-3) at 4:30 p.m. today at Fichtner Field. The Wolverines fell 4-0 at Duluth Denfeld on Thursday at Wade Stadium. Hermantown has four games next week, including home games against Grand Rapids on Tuesday and Apple Valley Saturday.

Hermantown improved to 2-1 overall with an impressive 8-1 road victory over Grand Rapids in Lake Superior Conference softball action on Tuesday. The Hawks, who have won their last two outings by a combined 26-1 margin, will host nonconference Esko (4-4) at 4:30 p.m. today. Hermantown is scheduled to play four games next week, starting with a nonconference home game Monday against Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, followed by road games at Proctor on Tuesday, at Cloquet Thursday and North Branch Friday.
